Halton Dance Party hosted by Stephanie and Dorothy, produce and host great monthly dances at the Knights of Columbus in Oakville, Ontario. With music from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and beyond, attendees rock out, have fun and help support a variety of Halton charities.
Their goal is to create fun events while at the same time making a positive contribution to the Halton community sponsoring different charities. As of December 2018, more than $16,000 has been raised for several different charities. Here’s a list of some of the charities supported over the past two years.
|November/December||We devoted both November and December to raising funds for the Oakville Firefighters Toy Drive. This organization ensures that every child in Halton has a present to unwrap on Christmas morning.
We are delighted to have been able to donate $2200 to the Toy Drive. Read more and see the cheque donation picture here.
|October||Acclaim Health is building a new state of the art dementia centre in Oakville. $500 raised at the October dance will go towards their building campaign for this new state-of-the art centre
|August/September||Food 4 Life received over $600 from Halton Dance Party in support of their ongoing programs to feed the hungry in Halton.|
|June||Heart & Stroke Foundation of Halton received a cheque of almost $700|
|May||The Oakville & District Humane Society received a cheque for almost $700|
|March/April||Lions Foundation Dog Guides received a cheque for almost $700 in April|
|Fall||In December 2017, over $1900 was donated to the Oakville Firefighters Toy Drive. This donation purchased gifts for over 200 children in Halton.|
|Dorothy and Stephanie presented a cheque to Habitat for Humanity Halton Mississauga on behalf of attendees at September’s dance.|
|Summer||In July 2017, Dorothy and Stephanie presented a cheque to Dr Flavia Ceschin of Heartache to Hope on behalf of attendees at the July dance.|
|Spring||In April 2017, Dorothy and Steph presented a cheque to Acclaim Health in support of their community programs on behalf of attendees at the Spring Fling dance.|
In February 2017, Stephanie and Dorothy presented a cheque to Donna Bedell, the Area Manager of the Heart and Stroke Foundation Halton following the Paint the Town Red dance party.
|On January 7th 2017, Halton Dance Party hosted a dance in support of Food For Life .|
|In December 2016 Halton Dance Party supported the Oakville Firefighters Association Toy Drive which funds toys for children in need.|
