Going to the Dogs!

Stephanie and Dorothy present cheque to Lions Foundation Dog Guides

Stephanie and Dorothy recently presented a cheque to the Lions Foundation Dog Guides Program on behalf of all the attendees at the March 4th dance.

A couple of puppies and a working service dog were special guests greeting attendees at the dance and their owners and handlers were generous with their dogs, allowing lots of snuggling, hugs and pictures.

The Lions Foundation Dog Guides Program provides highly trained service dogs to those with physical or mental disabilities completely free of charge.  The only funding received by the Dog Guide program is from corporations, individuals, foundations and service clubs, so Halton Dance Party was very pleased to offer a support donation to help in a small way the wonderful work of the organization.

There will be a return visit with more dogs at an upcoming dance Fall 2017, so be sure to watch for the next opportunity to visit with the amazing animals and their equally amazing owners!

Great Evening With Little Peter & The Elegants & Lions Foundation Dog Guides

Puppies, dogs, music and fun – what more could you ask for at Saturday night’s Halton Dance Party?

The Lions Foundation Dog Guide program was the designated charity for this month’s dance party and so attendees were greeted by a couple of puppies, an adult dog and their foster family owners. There was much wagging of puppy tails, face licking and oohs and aaahs and of course, many photos taken with each dog.

Peter & the Elegants a popular local band were the guests of the evening and they kept the great music coming and Knights of Columbus Hall rocking all evening long!
